The pandemic has hit hard, very hard, in health and in the way of seeing the world of many people and the tragic loss of thousands of lives is added an economic crisis after the stoppage of activity and the closure of many businesses. However, it is time to reinvent yourself and there is light at the end of the tunnel.

And in Béjar one of the best examples of reinvention has already occurred. With a history of more than 25 years producing products for rest, the company Fibras Textiles Sánchez SL has taken a step forward and has reconverted its production to the manufacture of masks. An initiative that has put Béjar back on the map as a benchmark for textile manufacturing and that, in such a complicated moment, has achieved create about 60 new jobs.

This journey began with the beginning of the health crisis and a machine and now they already have six machines, which will start operating at full capacity on June 8, which will allow them to produce, as confirmed by the company, about 30 million masks per month. Some figures that will allow them to be "the largest force in Europe and one of the largest factories in the world"In this matter, the managers of the Bejarana company have explained. At the moment they are already studying several countries to start exporting to Europe.

In addition, they are already working to continue advancing in new designs and, for this, they are in negotiations with a "team of Spanish designers, some of them with important names"to make Spanish fashion and design participate and thus achieve "design and color to the masks".

Their arrival on the market has hit hard and since their launch on the market they have received "a lot of orders". In this sense, they wanted to thank the reception of their product and acknowledge that they have had some incidence with an order, all of them due to the declaration of the state of alarm and the limitation of mobility. "We want to apologize for the delays but we have to be aware of the limitations of movements and the saturation of the courier services, which are making an enormous effort", they explain and advance that they work now to incorporate new delivery companies that speed up the delivery of their orders.

Board millionaire purchase

The company has received a millionaire commission from the Board. This was announced by the regional government just a few days ago and has acquired three million masks from the Bejarana company. A commission that is valued at 1.350.000 euros and that the company wanted to thank. And they have done it through the social network Twitter, where they recognize that it will be from "great benefit for the local economy".

With all this, they have managed to become a benchmark for transformation at a time when the coronavirus has swept away everything that has been found in its path.
