Mascarillas Béjar invests 25 million euros in the only European factory of sanitary nitrile gloves in Portugal

Mascarillas Béjar is the beginning of the ambitious project "TEXTIL BEJAR". A revolutionary concept that includes the production of all the textiles that the client needs for the global and complete fight against COVID and similar contagious infectious diseases.

With factories in Spain (Béjar) and Portugal (Lisbon), ICW's objective is that Europe does not depend on Asian manufacturers in everything concerning basic sanitary textiles. And to offer in the world market products with the guarantee and quality of manufacturing in EUROPE.

For this reason, ICW HOLDING reinforces its commitment to sanitary textiles, by investing 25 million euros in the only Sanitary Nitrile glove factory in Europe.

The new factory, based in Lisbon, has 4 production lines for nitrile gloves from the Bailixin Machinery Brand (the best manufacturing lines in the world) with a production capacity of 400 million gloves / month and with the ambitious goal of doubling current production and reach 2021 million gloves / month before the end of 800, in its facilities of more than 15,000 m2 located in Lisbon (Portugal)

Contributing at a crucial moment in the development of the pandemic and with what this means for the economy and the European labor market, a new factory, with quality controls and the most advanced technology, which until now was only available in the Asian market .

Helping to stabilize prices, qualities and delivery times, which Asian manufacturers were taking advantage of. All of this is the result of fluctuations in current demand and the significant, in turn, shortage of PPE material in the glove market, especially together with ffp2 masks, IIR surgical masks, gowns, caps, booties, etc.

Faced with this circumstance, TEXTIL BEJAR wants to be a COMPREHENSIVE SOLUTION thanks to the MANUFACTURE of NITRILE GLOVES, both in Hospitals, as in clinics, outpatient clinics and the long etc. of companies that need these products on a recurring basis.

ICW Holding has invested 25 million euros for the purchase from RCRE, one of the largest and only sanitary nitrile gloves factory in Europe, with more than 15,000 m2, 4 production lines, capacity to produce 400 million nitrile gloves per month.

Thus, it has become the most active holding company in the investment of sanitary textiles, a sector of strategic economic relevance that is becoming a structural necessity of our life habit in the so-called “new normal”. At the same time, this commitment contributes to rebuilding a labor fabric damaged by the pandemic, which finds in these new market opportunities due to the health situation, a way to strengthen itself and face the economic crisis in the market that so many jobs are has cashed in 2020 and for now in 2021.

The person in charge of directing this new acquisition and expansion in neighboring Portugal of ICWHOLDING will be Ricardo Martins, a professional with more than 20 years of experience in international markets.

With the incorporation of this new factory, ICWHOLDING DEMONSTRATES the confidence in the health sector that the company has, betting on the creation of quality employment and generation of value that undoubtedly reveals as the great contribution of this 2021 without a doubt.
