The masks of Spanish origin have a higher quality than the Chinese ones and are also manufactured in Salamanca

Spaniards are going to need a mask to go out on the streets for the next few months at least. Therefore, it is necessary to know that not only in Asian countries are they dedicated to the manufacture of this product, since in Salamanca a national manufacturer fights against the Chinese giants by providing quality to the product they manufacture to provide more security to the masks they sell as a XNUMX% Spanish product.

While Spain and the Ministry of Health are looking for protective equipment, masks and hydroalcoholic gels, a company from Salamanca is a pioneer in the manufacture of masks in Spain. In addition, they are made in Béjar, Salamanca province, a 100 percent national product. Specifically, they are made by the "Fibras Textiles Sanchez SL" factory, a company with more than 25 years of experience manufacturing products for rest. This manufacturer, due to the pandemic, has converted into manufacturing high filtration masks made in Spain

While most masks use a 20 gram white filter, in this factory in Salamanca they use a 53 gram TNT filter. In this way they have achieved that their masks have a filter of 95% of germs and dust, thus increasing the efficacy and safety of this product.

In short, it is about protecting ourselves from COVID-19, which can spread from person to person through droplets coming from the nose or mouth that are thrown when an infected person coughs or exhales. These droplets fall on objects and surfaces around the person, so other people can get COVID-19 if they touch these objects or surfaces and then touch their eyes, nose, or mouth. That is why it is important to stay more than 2 meters away from a person who is sick.

According to the recommendations of the Ministry of Health, the masks should be used in diagnosed patients or those with symptoms of respiratory infection, as well as the personnel who accompany them.

Masks Béjar

In this sense, Mascarillas Béjar was born from the mother company Fibras Textiles Sánchez, a company with great tradition in the Spanish textile sector for decades. In addition, they have had to look out for some information and confirm in recent days on social networks that they are a one hundred percent Spanish company.

For a few hours the message went viral "I send you a link to buy masks made in Spain, more specifically in Béjar (Salamanca), textile city par excellence. "It is not so rare, since this Salamanca town has been famous for centuries for treating wool first, after artificial fibers and now it is famous for applying the new technologies for the manufacture of all kinds of fabrics, surviving the emergence of Chinese industry with technology and national effort.

From Mascarillas Béjar they have confirmed that it is true that they have started to manufacture masks. Right now they explain that they are in high demand and that they even receive orders even from outside Spain.

As indicated on their website, the non-sterile masks they manufacture are included in the class I category, according to the directive Directive relative to medical devices 93/42 / CE, and they comply with the UNE-EN14683: 2019 + AC standard referring to masks.

Recommendation against mandatory

El Minister of Health, Salvador Illa, stated on April 10 that, following the indications of the European Center for Disease Control, the use of so-called hygienic masks was recommended, if the movement to the post was done by public transport, and announced that they would be provided in metro stations and surroundings.

On April 1, the Ministry of Health published recommendations on the use of masks in the context of COVID-19. In it, it recommends the use of hygienic masks for the general population as there is increasing evidence of the role that people without symptoms or with mild symptoms have in transmitting the virus. It also establishes that the use of medical (surgical) masks by health workers should take priority over use in the healthy general population and specifies that the masks are recommended to the general population when they have symptoms or diagnosis of COVID-19 , if they have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19 or if they are part of the vulnerable population.

On April 23, the prices set in the Interministerial Commission on Drug Prices for disposable masks, as well as hygienic ones, were published. In the case of medical masks, the established price is 0,96 euros / unit, while those manufactured in Béjar have a price of between 0,72 and 0,76 per unit, depending on the pack that is purchased. The company ensures delivery in two weeks.
